Buzludzha

(CLICK on the picture to see more.) Last weekend, we visited the Memorial House of the Bulgarian Communist Party. Since it is situated on Buzludzha Peak in the Central Balkan Mountains, it is also called "Buzludzha Monument". This very unsual building was opened in 1981, but is now abandoned and it's forbidden to enter. Until the beginning of this year, it was still possible to get inside through some chambers, but now they are filled with stones. Thus we missed the chance to see the amazing interior, but there are plans to restore it, so maybe another day... For more information: http://www.buzludzha-monument.com/#present
