A day full of Bulgarian history! Today we visited three impressive monuments, all situated in the Balkan mountain range in central Bulgaria. This picture is taken at the Shipka Monument, which is a monument for the people who died in this area during the Russo-Turkish War, which led to the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878. In the lower left corner, you can see the outstanding Buzludzha Monument, of which I will soon post some pictures.
