The narrow-gauge line between Dobrinishte and Septemvri, which we used yesterday, operates on a total length of 125km and connects the different mountain chains of southwest Bulgaria. The track gauge is 76cm. It also passes by Yakoruda, where I took this picture. This is a small town not far away from the bigger city of Velingrad (which is famous for its Spa Hotels). The majority of the population in Yakoruda (as well as in other towns in this area) are Muslims.
