National Library

The "St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library" was founded in 1878 and it is named after the two Saints Cyril and Methodius who created the first cyrillic alphabet (9th century). On the 24th of May, the "Day of the Bulgarian (Cyrillic) Alphabet and Bulgarian Culture" was celebrated. A lot of ceremonies took place in front of the library and that's why I decided to visit the inside of the building for the first time. As you can see, the archival storage of the books works in a special way.
