I love Levski

Vasil Levski (born Vasil Ivanov Kunchev) is one of the most honoured national heroes. He was born in 1837 and became an Orthodox monk. But he soon dedicated his life to revolutionary movements with the aim to liberate Bulgaria from the Ottoman rule. Because of his courage and ability, he acquired the name "Levski", which means "Lionlike". At the age of 35, he got executed by the Ottomans. If you are in Bulgaria, you come across his name everywhere - also in the form of graffitis or murals.
